GUTMANN Bausysteme GmbH is proud to have participated in the world acclaimed ZAK engineered timber envelopes in London, UK on Feb 10, 2022. It is an off-shoot event from ZAK world of Facades, where the latest innovations and challenges in the laminated wood building envelopes industry were discussed. Gutmann exhibited the wood aluminium building systems with Max Radt speaking on Solutions for high rise buildings and sharing vital know-hows in the Timber Façade industry.
Mr. Radt’s captivating presentation of Gutmann’s wood-aluminium unitised facade system highlighted the marriage of the Aluminium, exterior cladding with its durable and highly recyclable material, to the wood that originates from sustainably managed forests. The unitised curtain wall system with its high-performance capabilities and modular prefabrication enhances quality control, improves the installation process and reduces labour costs. He also explained the two-step mounting process when wood is clipped on to the aluminium after the outer shell of the building is closed which ensures its protection from site conditions and harsh weather elements.
Additionally, emphasized that Gutmann’s wood-aluminium product range from windows, doors and facades can be customised to fit any architectural requirement, offering superior technical specifications that are German made. Gutmann received positive results and was able to fulfil its main objective of presenting the new wood aluminium unitised façade as well as cement our position of manufacturing sustainable superior solutions.
