Your windows and doors need minimal maintenance. The powder coated or anodized aluminium, acting as the protective cladding to your interior timber window, is protected from rust and corrosion and endures for a long life span. Having said that, to ensure that your windows maintain their lustrous appearance and functionality, basic cleaning and removing of dust and debris is needed from the inside and outside. Gutmann advises that you schedule a cleaning for your windows and doors once a month.
Start with vacuuming the tracks that hold your window or door and make sure to open the window and remove particles and dust accumulated in the opening crevices. This process will facilitate continued ease of movement and smooth opening and closing. After removing large debris, use a soft cloth and mild detergent to gently wipe the glass panels. As for the aluminium frame, use Gutmann’s surface cleaners which remove grease, oil and the finest dirt particles. The basic cleaner and preservative protects against weather influences and leaves no residue on seals and joints to ensure optimal functionality and preserve your paint from abrasions and scratches.
